In 2004, Bahrain became the first country in the region to host Grand Prix™. Over the last 17 years, the circuit has delivered some of the iconic moments of modern-day Grand Prix™, from the duel in the desert in 2014 to the thrilling opener of 2021, Bahrain consistently delivers a spectacle under the desert night sky. Located in the heart of the Sakhir desert, Bahrain International Circuit is a unique and contemporary facility that is synonymous with the highest levels of global motorsport. Featuring five different track layouts, the circuit first saw life in 2004 when the first ever Grand Prix™ took place in the country, making it the first-ever track in the Middle East to host the Grand Prix™ World Championship. Bahrain International Circuit continues to host staggering crowds and a wide range of events and activities, and serves as a platform that encourages motorsports in the country.
