Day 1: Arrive Cochin
On arrival in Cochin, you will be met by our representative, transferred to your hotel and assisted with check in. Enjoy a day of complete relaxation taking in the diversity of a multicultural town. Cochin has been influenced by the Chinese, French and the Portuguese and you will find a wonderful mix of cultures. The area of Fort Cochin is excellent to enjoy early morning or evening walks and explore the city on foot. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kochi.
Day 2: Cochin Sightseeing
After breakfast, Proceed for a city tour of Kochi where you will visit the most popular attractions like Vasco Da Gama Square, the Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica, St. Francis CSI Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, etc. Learn how the locals cast the famous Chinese fishing nets. These nets were built with teak and bamboo poles & work on the principle of balance.Records say these were established here between 1350 and 1450.Vasco Da Gama Square,with its narrow promenade, parallel to the beach is the best place to watch the nets down and pulled out of the sea, For more cultural insights, spend some time in the evening to witness a classical dance drama. Kathakali - known for the attractive makeup of the characters and elaborate costumes. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Cochin to Munnar
Check out after a hearty breakfast and drive to Munnar over rugged hills, rolling oceans of tubby green tea bushes, through luscious grasslands, before passing the Pallivasal tea estates. This will be your first glimpse of Munnar. On arrival, check-in at the hotel.
At a height of 1,500 metres, set amidst mountains once known as the High Range of Travancore, Munnar is a bustling hub of tea plantations. Prepare to be captivated by its dense carpet of tea, sprinkled with Acacias and Red Gum trees, and delighted by its freshly brewed cuppas. Enrote to Munnar take a break for Spice Plantation tour - Munnar is the heaven of spices and this spice tour will leave your senses tingling with joy. Wander in the captivating farms and witness the plantation of spices like black pepper, cardamom, ginger, curcuma, cinnamon, etc.
Day 4: Munnar Sightseeing
Continue with a full day sightseeing of Munnar, watching the mountain goats in the Rajamalai wildlife Sanctuary. Then head to the the Kannan Devan Hills, the perfect getaway with panoramic views of the Munnar Tea Estates and the lake. After lunch you will proceed to Mattupetty, with the rare chance of seeing a herd of wild elephants on the way to Mattupetty Dam. Next up is the Tea Museum’s photographs and machinery during the revolution of the industry, which includes the original tea roller, the ‘Rotovane,’ and the ‘Pelton Wheel’. Today you will also experience the Kathakali & Martial Arts show.
Day 5: Munnar to Periyar (Thekkady)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to the spice capital and check into your next hotel. Along the way you will also explore Thekkady. The afternoon is at your leisure. Feel free to walk through the spice market in the Kumily Village. Make sure you leave room in your suitcase for the finest cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and mace! First up is the Kathakali, a mixture of art, music, dance and drama, with majestic costumes, elaborate makeup, and mythological stories. Kalaripayattu is the oldest form of martial arts, with elaborate movements and the sounds of slashing swords. Return to the hotel.
Day 6: Thekkady Sightseeing
Post breakfast at the hotel, step out for a blissful day in the natural heaven for wildlife. Tourists rush from all over the country to experience the exotic wildlife at the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary which is amidst dense forests and make way for thrilling mountain walks. Experience boating in the lake where you can spot many more interesting species of animals as you admire the beauty called Thekkady. After spending quality time with nature, head to the Tribal Heritage Museum which features different types of artifacts displaying the culture, dressing, rituals, etc. of the Mannan settlement. You can also check out the spice market in the Kumily Village and pick fresh aromatic cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and mace from the market.
Day 7: Periyar to Purity at Lake Vembanad Lake near Kumarakom ( 4 hours Drive)
Next up on your journey is beautiful Vembanad Lake, around 4 hours by private transfer west towards the coast. The largest lake in Kerala, and the longest in all of India, Vembanad is a beautiful spot and the jumping-off point for exploration of Kerala’s famous backwaters. Purity at Lake Vembanad around the drive will take you to the villa hotel located in a fishing village known as Muhamma near Kumarakom. Day 8: Purity at Lake Vembanad

Day 9: Purity at Lake Vembanad to Alleppey Houseboat
Descend a dramatic escarpment as you journey overland to the village of Alleppey, the gateway to Kerala’s backwaters, a chain of lagoons running parallel to the coast on the Arabian Sea. Board your private houseboat for an overnight cruise of the serene setting. Known as Kettuvallam, elegantly designed like a traditional rice barge, not a single nail is used to construct the body of the boat and upper sections are constructed of woven natural materials like coir and bamboo. Float lazily through a timeless landscape of lush paddy fields, brightly coloured houses and boats laden with coir and copra. Soak up the atmosphere as children play along the banks and fishermen reel in their daily catch. Later, savour a delicious feast of local cuisine prepared by your onboard chef - Today you will enjoy the backwaters on your very own private houseboat. After breakfast, you will board your houseboat around 12:00 Noon and cruise through the beautiful maze of backwaters. These houseboats are available in one or two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and come with a kitchenette, an open lounge, a deck and a three-crew member team- the oarsmen, a cook and a guide. Day 10: Alleppey to Kovalam
After you disembark the houseboat, you’ll then drive to your resort at Kovalam, featuring three beaches that makeup one of the most popular coastal retreats in India. With time at leisure following your arrival, you can take a dip in the sea, spend time relaxing on the beach or explore one of the local villages to sample coconut beer – created from the many coconut trees found in the area. Day 12: Kovalam to Trivandrum Airport 45 minutes drive
After breakfast, check out from the hotel depending on your flight departure time & depart to Trivandrum International Airport, you will be transferred to Trivandrum International Airport to board your flight back home.
