Day 1 Cape Town
Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by your driver-guide, who will be with you for the duration of your time in Cape Town, and transferred to your hotel in Camps Bay. Your guide will meet you in the arrival hall with a name board showing your name. Your hotel is located on the popular "foodie" Kloof Street, which has a number of great restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Day 2: Cape Town
Private Half Day Cape Town City Tour & Table Mountain
You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area and taken on a Half Day Cape Town City Orientation Tour to learn about Cape Town’s rich history and vibrant cultures. The day starts with a cableway trip to the top of one of the World’s Natural Wonders – Table Mountain, also the city’s most iconic and recognisable landmark. Explore the walking trails at the top and take in the many different views point across the City Bowl, Table Bay, Atlantic Seaboard and Peninsula. From Table Mountain your guide will take you back down into the city to visit the colourful Bo Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter), enjoy a walk through the Company Gardens and Greenmarket Square and an orientation drive taking in some of the important historical buildings (for example the Castle of Good Hope – South Africa’s oldest building), streets and features.

Bo-Kaap – one of the city’s most Instagrammable spots thanks to its picturesque colourful houses and cobblestone streets
The Company Gardens – a large public park lined with oak trees and surrounded by iconic historical buildings, museums and art galleries
Vibrant Greenmarket Square market offering a wide range of African arts and crafts
Orientation drive to see The Castle of Good Hope, City Hall, Grand Parade and Adderley Street with its many statues and historical buildings
The rest of the day will be at your own leisure, you can choose from a wide range of optional activities and excursions that Cape Town has to offer.
Day 3: Cape Town
You will be met by your guide in your hotel reception area and taken on a Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour. Cape Town is frequently acknowledged and awarded as being one of the world’s most beautiful places – this tour will show you why! Experience the spectacular natural splendour and abundance of life of the Cape Peninsula. With scenic views to take your breath away and photo opportunities galore this trip also takes you through a World Heritage Site – the Cape Floral Kingdom. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, passing magnificent beaches and the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno. From the busy fishing harbour at Hout Bay you have the option of a boat trip to see the thousands of Cape Fur Seals living on a rocky outcrop. Browse for souvenirs at the Hout Bay Craft Market or take a walk on the beach and paddle your feet in the sea. The tour continues over Chapman’s Peak, known as one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world, all the way along the Peninsula to the southern tip at Cape Point. An invigorating walk takes you to the two lighthouses at the top and bottom of the headland, from where you will enjoy extraordinary views of the cliffs and the ocean below. Alternatively, you could take an optional short funicular ride to the top. Take a photo down at the most south-western point of the African continent at the Cape of Good Hope beach. Lunch will be enjoyed at a seaside restaurant (excluded and for your own account) before we make our way along the False Bay coastline to the Naval village of Simon’s Town. We will visit the delightful African Penguins of Boulders Beach and then the drive takes us back via Cape Town’s coastal and southern suburbs.

Day 4: Stellenbosch
This morning a representative from the car rental company will deliver your rental vehicle to you at your hotel at 08.30. Please ensure that you have a copy of your valid driver’s license, your car rental voucher and a valid credit card in order for the delivery to take place. Cheque cards and cash will NOT be acceptable, only a credit card for the holding deposit. Your self-drive adventure now begins! Head off into the beautiful Cape Winelands and discover the many wineries, boutique shops, markets and much more!
Day 5: Stellenbosch
Day at leisure in Stellenbosch with Optional Wine activities
Enjoy a full day at your own leisure to explore and discover Stellenbosch. You might choose to take the day at complete leisure and enjoy the stunning views and setting of your hotel which is located on a wine estate. Or you might choose to head out an enjoy some more wine tasting, we can arrange a private guided tour with a wine expert who will take you to some of the surrounding vineyards depending on your wine preferrences. For the more active there are some great hikes from Stellenbosch and you could do a guided wine tour by bicycle!
Day 6: Oudtshoorn
Cape Town to Oudtshoorn via Route 62
420km Approximate driving time 5 hours (7 hours with stops)
We suggest a 09.00/10.00 departure for the next leg of your South African adventure – exploring the beautiful Garden Route. Travel along the famous Route 62 from the Cape Winelands en route to Oudtshoorn. This route has previously been named "World's Best Road Trip Destination" by CNN! There are lots of interesting stops and places to discover along the way and it is also known to be “The World’s Longest Wine Route”. A good place to stop about halfway through the journey is Barrydale, where there a few options for lunch (for your own account). Check-in at your accommodation and enjoy the peaceful and picturesque setting. Dinner (for your own account) can either be enjoyed at your accommodation or at a restaurant in the town.
Day 7: Knysna
Depart your hotel at 09.00 sharp for your full day self-drive trip in Oudtshoorn. After the tour you will travel to Knysna which lies 120km (2-hours drive) from Oudtshoorn, traveling over the spectacular Outeniqua Pass and onto the Garden Route. Your first stop will be at the Cango Caves, which are situated 30km / 30-minutes’ drive outside of Oudtshoorn. Here you will join the Heritage Tour at 11.00 - an easy walk through the first six largest and most spectacular halls and continuing through to the "African Drum room". This tour commences with information on the real discoverers and inhabitants of the cave and then winds its way through the rest of the Caves’ cultural and historical heritage. A comfortable walk through the most majestic of the cave chambers. Experienced and knowledgeable guides will accompany you on this journey of discovery and knowledge which takes around 1-hour to complete. Your next stop for the day is Safari Ostrich Farm for a guided tractor tour where you will get to meet and learn more about these large flightless birds that have had such a big impact on the economy of the town. This tour also takes 1-hour, after which you can shop for some ostrich leather products in the shop. You will then travel to Knysna, arriving at your hotel in the early evening.
Day 8: Knysna
Full day at leisure in Knysna
Enjoy the day exploring the area, there is a wide variety of activities and excursions to enjoy around Knysna. All entrance fees, activities and excursions will be at an additional cost and for your own account – pre-booking is recommended. Vehicle and driver-guide will be at your disposal for the full day, including dinner transfers if required.
Day 9: Albertinia
This morning after a leisurely morning in Knysna you will make your way to the Garden Route Game Lodge for your safari experience. Arrive in time for lunch and to check into your accommodation for some relaxation time before the afternoon game drive departs. Enjoy sunset and sunrise game drives in an open Landrover with your experienced game ranger who will bring you sightings of lion, elephant, white rhino, buffalo and cheetah. Garden Route Game Lodge is also home to giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species such as bontebok, red hartebeest, kudu, eland, impala, springbuck and many more. Game drives will take between 2 and 3 hours depending on how much time is spent at each sighting. There will be a coffee stop on the morning drive and a sundowner stop on the evening drive. It is advisable to bring warm clothes along for the drive even in the hot summer months. Your game ranger will provide ponchos and warm blankets and has a bird book and binoculars. Remember to bring your camera and video camera with you. Game Drive - Garden Route Game Lodge- Enjoy a 3hr Safari game Drive in the beautiful Garden Route Game Lodge Reserve. And experience the stunning wildlife and flora in this area.
Day 10:Hermanus
An early start to the day with a morning game drive on the reserve, followed by breakfast and check out. Today you travel to the Whale Watching Capital, Hermanus. Southern Right Whales can be seen here betwen May and November each year, at other times of the year it is a lovely coastal town with lots to see and do. Enjoy the evening at leisure, take a walk along the cliff top walk way looking out for whales during season or explore the vibrant town centre and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 11: Hermanus
Full day at Leisure in Hermanus- Enjoy a full day to explore Hermanus and its surrounding areas.

Day 12 : Hermanus to Cape Town International Airport
Your circular journey has sadly come to an end, and it is time to make your way back to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to Mauritius International Airport. Upon arrival at Mauritius International Airport you will be transferred you to your hotel. Overnight stay in Tamassa Bel Ombre
Day 13 - Day 18 : Mauritius

- Oudtshoorn: Located along the well-known Route 62 in South Africa’s beautiful Klein Karoo, the charming town of Oudtshoorn is known as the ostrich capital of the world. It is surrounded by numerous ostrich farms and the golden arid landscape of the Karoo. Visitors can enjoy the locally produced wine and port; sample ostrich meat and biltong; learn about the ostrich feather boom at the C.P. Nel Museum; and visit the world-renowned Cango Caves, the largest cave system in Africa featuring ancient rock formations and sparkling stalactites and stalagmites. Other popular activities include: mountain biking, paragliding, horse riding, and taking a day trip to the quaint town of Prince Albert over the scenic Swartberg Pass.
- Knysna: Sandwiched between the towering Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean, Knysna is a large town often referred to as the ‘Garden of Eden’, surrounded by stunning bays perfect for sailing, boating, and swimming; picturesque beaches and lagoons; and world-renowned forests. - Albertinia: Set in the Hessequa Municipality in the Western Cape province of South Africa the village of Albertinia lies 50 kilometres west of Mossel Bay, at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. The little town of Albertinia is synonymous with the Aloe plant. Here, this pre-historic looking plant is harvested commercially and processed to produce a range of natural products that are said to be beneficial for the skin. There is a factory shop where you can see the amazing array of products on offer.
- Hermanus: Situated just 140 kilometres from Cape Town and built between the beautiful shores of Walker Bay, Hermanus has grown from a small seaside resort town to become arguably the best-known place for whale watching in the world. This town is also famed for its natural scenic beauty, featuring long stretches of pristine beaches. An excellent variety of restaurants, cafes and bars are also on offer. Today, Hermanus is more than just a popular holiday destination and offers visitors all kinds of activities, both energetic and relaxing. Visitors can explore the Old Harbour Museum, which is comprised of the charming fisherman’s village, the old harbour, and the Whale House Museum; hike through the nearby Fernkloof Nature Reserve, and sample an array of top-quality wine along the famous Hermanus Wine Route.
- Mauritius: Mauritius Island is relatively young geologically having been created by volcanic activity. The autonomous island of Rodrigues is located 560 km to the east of Mauritius. The distinctive architecture of Mauritius reflects the island nation's history as a colonial trade base connecting Europe with the East.
