Here you will be met and transferred through Kruger National Park to your lodge in the famous Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve - one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Africa. Depending on your flight time you will arrive at the lodge in time for either lunch or afternoon tea, followed by your first afternoon game drive.
Day 6: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve
Idube Game Reserve guests are welcomed onto open vehicles twice a day, morning and late afternoon. On safari, guides and trackers share their wealth of knowledge about the animals and birds they see. They pride themselves on being able to identify tracks and to follow them, thus ensuring the best possible viewing for guests. This is where guests really get close to lions, elephants and other big game. Guests at Idube can go for a short guided walk after breakfast, this gives them a chance to see some of the smaller animals, or, on occasions, enjoy the thrill of coming across big game on foot – a very different experience. There is a wonderful sense of excitement in being able to leave the lodge and stride out with your armed guide to see what you can find in the bush beyond. At Idube Lodge you can be as busy or as relaxed as you like. As well as safaris, bushwalks, swimming, the gym and other activities, we do have Wifi in the lounge if you need to go online as well as a television for important sports events or other news. But if you want to just escape and soak in the silence, you’re most welcome to do that too.
Day 7: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve
Well known for frequent leopard sightings, Idube Game Reserve also is home to all the Big 5. Excitement is added by the presence of wild dogs and cheetahs. Idube has many different types of antelope and a large variety of smaller animals. Crocodiles travel for long distances to find new dams or move to the river, so it is always a surprise where they will be spotted. And, of course, Idube Game Reserve is a bird lover’s paradise. One of the best things is how close guests actually get to the animals; that is a very special experience. Idube Game Reserve is a great place to enjoy birds, on drives, walks, or round the camp. There are approximately 400 different types of birds seen at Idube. From early morning, when you are greeted to the dawn chorus, to the evening when the birds settle down for the night, there is always birdsong to add to the day’s pleasure. Then at night, the haunting calls of the octurnal birds add mystery and enjoyment to the sounds of the African bush.
Day 8: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
This morning you will have an early transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival in Victoria Falls you will be met at the airport and transferred to your lodge. The perfect introduction to this beautiful region is a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River aboard the luxurious Zambezi Explorer. After the cruise you will have dinner at your lodge.
Day 9: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of the Victoria Falls, one of the World's Natural Wonders. The remainder of the day is at your own leisure to take part in any of the many other activities and adventures available in Victora Falls. We can recommend the "Flight of Angels" - a scenic helicopter flight over te Falls for a unique aerial view perspective. Dinner this evening will be at the Makuwa-Kuwa restaurant at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, neighbouring your hotel.
Day 10: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)
Another day to enjoy in Victoria Falls, your hotel offers an hourly courtesy shuttle service to the town which is worth spending time exploring the markets and shops.
