Highlights of Argentina
Day 1: Arrival In Buenos Aires
For most travellers, Buenos Aires is the entry point to Argentina... and what an entrance it is: this vibrant city feels almost European! Its cosmopolitan population of Italian, Spanish, French and many other nationalities, combined with stunning architecture, cultural activities and attractive neighbourhoods with small shops, cafés and international restaurants, make the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming.
Upon arrival, our local representative will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After settling into your accommodation in the trendy neighbourhood of Palermo, the rest of your afternoon and evening is free for you to spend at your leisure. We recommend exploring the area near your hotel where you’ll be able to soak up the atmosphere of this thrilling city stopping off at one of the nearby boutique cafés or lively wine bars. Having found somewhere for dinner and experienced one of South America’s top restaurant scenes, explore Buenos Aires’ nightlife at one of the local wine bars in Palermo, add an exclusive wine tasting to your itinerary or, take a leisurely stroll back to your hotel.
Tip: Porteños eat dinner late; usually restaurants will open their doors around 20:00.

Day 2: Buenos Aires / City Tour and Tango Show
On the Buenos Aires City tour, you will visit the most famous districts of Buenos Aires, discovering the history and modern life of this world-renowned city. The tour provides an in-depth introduction to its architecture, the culture of its people, its anecdotes and secrets. To be put simply Buenos Aires is exceptional, dynamic, sophisticated and overwhelming. An exquisite combination of a European atmosphere and the charm of Latin American cities. You will begin at the famous Plaza de Mayo, before venturing out to the old tango districts of Buenos Aires: Monserrat, San Telmo and La Boca. You will then move on to the busiest areas - Puerto Madero, Retiro and Plaza San Martin - and then, districts with wonderful green spaces and old residences: Palermo and Recoleta.
Located in the heart of San Telmo, this historical refurbished 'conventillo' is a classic example of the Buenos Aires culture. La Ventana takes you back to older times. The interior architectural style has been preserved and creates an ideal setting for a unique experience: 32 performing artists, two tango orchestra, a folklore ensemble, dancers and singers, a menu of traditional and international cuisine and an exquisite list of Argentinean wines.

Day 3: Buenos Aires - Ushuaia
In the morning, your transfer will take you to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia.
As the southernmost city in the world, flying to Ushuaia is an adventure in itself as you touch down in the Tierra del Fuego (Land of Fire). It is a rough, desolate, often cold place next to the legendary Beagle Channel which connects the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.
After arriving at your accommodation and having settled in, take a taxi (around USD 4 one way) to Ushuaia´s old airport, Aeroclub, for a great view of the whole city, bay, harbour and mountains. Having soaked up the impressive view of the city at the End of the World you can begin exploring the highlights of Ushuaia on your own. Stop off at the city’s famous welcome sign proclaiming Ushuaia to be 'at the End of the World' and what has become a very popular photo opportunity. We recommend taking time to visit the historical centre of the city including the navy neighbourhood, the cemetery and the Saint Christopher shipwreck that can be seen beside the promenade before passing by historical houses and places like the prison, school and police station which are all located on the way to port. After appreciating the Antarctic Explorers promenade, you can visit the End of the World Museum (visit and entrance not included and optional).
Stay in the city for dinner tonight as king crab is the specialty here and is extremely delicious. With a full stomach, you can take a taxi back to your hotel a catch a good night’s sleep before tomorrow’s adventure into the National Park.

Day 4: Ushuaia / Half Day National Park and Beagle Channel (Group Excursion)
Whisk through some real Patagonian highlights on a half day group adventure into Tierra del Fuego National Park. You'll be picked up at your hotel and leave it behind you, passing the slope of Mount Susana and crossing the valley to Ensenada Bay. Along the way, you'll see both Redonda and Estorbo Islands. On the opposite coast, you'll find the snow-capped peaks of Chile's Mount Sampaio Chain. Around every bend, you'll be hit by more breathtaking views, so keep your camera ready. Next, you'll head to Roca Lake and take a long, refreshing walk down to the Lapataia River. From here, you'll be able to see Condor Hill, forming the natural border with Chile. You'll then set off for the other side of the national park to admire the Green and Black Lagoons, a handful of beaver dams and some fast-spreading peat bogs. It's a brilliant way to see some beautiful Patagonian hotspots in just half a day.
See penguins in their natural Patagonian habitat during this half-day group tour from Ushuaia. Hopping on your boat at the pier, you'll sail into the centre of the Beagle Channel, arriving at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse before continuing to Seal Island, packed with barking seals. Afterwards, you'll drift towards Del Los Pajaros Island (Bird Island), where you'll be able to see at least 10 different species of sea bird, so keep your camera handy! Next, you´ll enjoy the wonderful landscapes of the channel until arrival at Martillo Island, where you can admire the penguins’ colony. Afterwards, you'll make your way back to Ushuaia, with your bi-lingual guide letting you in on local secrets along the way.

Day 5: Ushuaia - El Calafate
If you are lucky enough to land in El Calafate on a sunny day, you will have unforgettable views of the mountains and lakes right before you land. We will take you from the tiny airport to your hotel in town. El Calafate is a nice little town in an otherwise desolate area, with one main street where most of the restaurants and shops are centred, and a few streets leading off of it. Start by getting your bearings by strolling around town and maybe pick out one of the local restaurants for lunch or dinner. It is often cold and windy here, so the lamb racks in the windows of restaurants, the lit fireplaces and the view of other travellers sipping from their wine glasses will be sure to tempt you inside. If you have a full afternoon available and feel like some fresh air and a walk, then head down to the bottom end of town to the Laguna Nimez Nature Reserve. You have to pay a small entrance fee but there is a beautiful circuit taking you through shrub-lands and wetlands and down to the lake's edge. You'll see all sorts of unusual birdlife down there, and if you aren’t a seasoned bird watcher, you can always borrow a bird guidebook from the nature reserve office to help spot the different species of bird. In the evening just relax, enjoy dinner and get a good night's rest as tomorrow you'll be visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier!
Overnight in El Calafate
Day 6: El Calafate / Full Day Perito Moreno Glacier Excursion (Private)
No visit to Argentina is complete without a trip to Los Glaciares National Park and the Perito Moreno Glacier, the iconic highlight of wild, beautiful Patagonia. The glacier originates at the Continental Ice Field and descends through the colossal mountains before reaching the waters of Lago Argentino. It's a jaw-dropping landscape that you won't find anywhere else on earth. The glacier is framed by deep green forests and bright blooming flowers, making it all the more surreal and stunning. During this full-day group tour, you'll travel from El Calafate to the eastern side of the Magellan Peninsula, scattered with gorgeous viewpoints of Perito Moreno. You'll then follow the scenic walking tracks skirting the glacier, stopping for photos and watching huge ice blocks crash into the lake, creating a thunderous sound and huge waves.
Overnight in El Calafate
Day 7: El Calafate
Day at leisure in Calafate. You can also book optional activities like a full day to El Chalten, Laguna Nimez Reservoir or a full day tour in Torres del Paine.

Day 8: El Calafate - Puerto Iguazu
This morning, your private transfer will take you to Calafate Airport for your flight to Puerto Iguazu.
Forget Niagara and Victoria Falls, when you see the unstoppable flow of the Iguazú Falls you’ll be stopped in your tracks – it’s not for nothing that Iguazú Falls was recently named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World! Witnessing the incredible power of over 250 separate falls thundering down from heights of up to 80 ft (24m) into the river below is a truly inspiring experience
The Iguazú National Park was created in 1934 and is a protected area that hosts one of the most biologically rich sites in Argentina. Iguazu Falls from Argentina is one of the most visited national parks in the country and was declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage, and was recently declared also as one of the new 7-wonders of Nature.
This environment is popularly known as the Selva Misionera (jungle of Misiones). It is home to half of the bird species recorded on Argentine territory and the greatest diversity of orchids in the country.
There are multiple circuits on the Argentine side to enjoy the falls.
We recommend spending a whole day exploring the falls on the Argentine side. Several hiking trails take you to different viewpoints of the falls. There is an ‘Upper circuit’ that runs along raised platforms and gives you different angles from above to enjoy the falls. the other circuit is the ‘Lower circuit’ and this trail takes you down to the river where also the zodiacs depart to get close to the falls.
The Iguazú Falls National Park is a short distance from the small town of Puerto Iguazú. There’s not much to see in town and most people head out to the Falls in the morning and stay there all day long. You can easily catch a bus from the centrally located bus station as there is a regular hourly service back and forth throughout the day.
Overnight in Puerto Iguazu
Day 9: Puerto Iguazu / Full Day Argentinian Side of The Falls Excursion (Private)
See Iguazu Falls in real style by taking a private full-day tour to the Argentinean side of these incredible cascades. You'll be picked up from your hotel in Puerto Iguazu and transferred to the Visitor Center in the National Park, where the adventure really begins. From here, you can choose to hop on the train to Cataratas Station or set off along the scenic Green Trail that leads to be beginning of the Upper and Lower walkways. As you get closer and closer to the Falls, you'll begin to hear the deafening roar of these mighty cascades. It's heart-thumping stuff. The Upper Circuit leads through the jungle to the falls, guaranteeing you gorgeous views with every footstep and ending with a panorama of the Falls that will leave you speechless. Next, the Lower Circuit is a twisting 1600 meters of mist-swirled catwalks giving you great views from both below and around the base of the Falls. Just watch out for the spray! Afterwards, you'll set off for Garganta Station, where you'll come face-to-face with the mighty Devil's Throat, a largest and most powerful cascade in the area. It's a sight that will knock your socks off. Once you have finished the circuits, you must go back to the Visitors Center where your transport will be waiting for your return.
Experience the best of both worlds with a visit to the Guira Oga Refuge, combining the must-see Iguazu waterfalls with unforgettable encounters that allow you to delve into the local fauna, flora, and communities. The Guira Oga Refuge is dedicated to the conservation of flora and fauna, providing a unique opportunity to encounter over 50 species of animals and observe more than 960 plant species.
As you explore the protected areas, you will gain insight into the refuge's important work, which includes rescuing animals from the wildlife trade or road accidents in the Misiones rainforest. The refuge also focuses on rehabilitating and reintroducing animals back into their natural habitats whenever possible.
Overnight in Puerto Iguazu
Day 10: Puerto Iguazu / Half Day Brazilian falls - Buenos Aires
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Puerto Iguazu and transferred to the Visitor Center in the National Park. On arriving to the Visitors centre, you will board the panoramic buses to begin the tour of the park, before descending to the walking paths. From the first balcony, you´ll encounter views of the Argentinean falls. Then after 950 meters with stunning views over the Iguazu River, you will cross over to the Brazilian side. The walkway entering the river next to the Floriano Falls will give you a refreshing reception and a gorgeous panoramic view of the lower Iguazu River and the Devil´s Gorge Canyon. The elevator and the stairs lead to the shopping and restaurant area upstairs. After the excursion, you will be transferred to the Airport.
