Next, head to Hanoi, Vietnam’s charming capital, for a relaxing exploration of the city’s blend of traditional culture and colonial heritage. Then, journey to the picturesque town of Sapa, nestled in the northern mountains, where you’ll trek through breathtaking rice terraces, visit ethnic minority villages, and conquer Fansipan Peak, the highest mountain in Indochina.
From Sapa, travel to the stunning Halong Bay for a serene overnight cruise amidst the dramatic limestone karsts and emerald waters, an unforgettable natural wonder. Afterward, fly to Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll explore the dynamic southern metropolis and visit the infamous Cu Chi Tunnels, a relic of the Vietnam War.
Finally, unwind in the coastal town of Mui Ne, where you’ll relax on pristine beaches, explore the mesmerizing sand dunes, and experience the tranquil beauty of Vietnam’s coastline.
This carefully crafted itinerary combines cultural immersion, adventure, and moments of serenity, offering you a deeper understanding of both Cambodia and Vietnam while providing ample opportunities for rest and reflection.
DAY 1: PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL
Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be greeted by our driver and you will be transferred to your hotel (check in time is at 2pm). The rest of the day is free at your leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh
DAY 2: PHNOM PENH – KILLING FIELD (B)
After breakfast visit Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. Then you'll explore the Toul Sleng Prison Museum and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek-both grim reminders of Cambodia's bloody past under Pol Pot. It is almost inconceivable to confront the nature of true evil here in this gentle land, but the Buddhist memorial at Choeung Ek, commemorates the 1.7 million victims of the 1975-79 Pol Pot regime. This excursion may prove distressing for some. It is, however, an important piece of this country’s historical and cultural puzzle. You will also visit Wat Phnom Temple, Phnom Penh's namesake, from where you can enjoy views over the tree-lined avenues of Phnom Penh during sunset. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
DAY 3: PHNOM PENH - SIEMREAP (B)
Say goodbye to capital city, you will transfer to Siemreap. It will takes about 6hrs for this transfer. Upon arrival, you will check in hotel. Free at leisure and Overnight in Siemreap.
DAY 4: ANGKOR TOUR WITH SUNSET (B)
After breakfast, around 8 am, our guide will meet you at the hotel and you will set out for your sightseeing tour of Angkor Wat. Firstly, you will enter Angkor Thom through its South Gate, at this place you will see a series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Then continue to visit the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King. The trip continues with the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple. In the afternoon, you will visit Jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm which is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. Enjoy the sunset over Pre Rup temple. You will then transferred back to the hotel for an evening at leisure.
DAY 5: FREE AT LEISURE (B)
Free at leisure to explore the Siemreap city. Overnight in Siemreap
DAY 6: SIEMREAP – FLY TO HANOI (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, our driver will pick you up at airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 7: FREE AT LEISURE (B)
Free at leisure to explore the Hanoi city. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 8: HANOI - SAPA BY SHUTTLE BUS (B)
Today you will check out hotel and take shuttle bus from Hanoi to Sapa. The transfer will take around 5.5 hours from Hanoi to Sapa. Upon arrival Sapa, you will check in hotel. Free at leisure and overnight in Sapa.
DAY 9: SAPA – TREKKING TO BAN KHOANG – TA GIANG PHINH VILLAGE (B/L)
Met up at your hotel in Sapa by local guide and driver for a short road transfer heading northwards of Sapa along national road 4C to O Quy Ho with several stops for magnificent landscapes of Fansipan, Sin Chai valley and especially amazing flower and vegetable farms . Then turn right to follow a narrow road for half an hour getting through the wild region with thick rain forest covering walled-up mountains, passing several waterfalls before arriving to Ban Khoang, a village of the Red Zao ethnic peoples who live their unique way of life and well maintain their traditional values. The village looks prosperous thanks to the combination of wet rice cultivation on the terraced fields with cardamom farming under the shade of trees in thick forest. Spend over an hour walking to explore this remote village for a brief understanding of local life. Leaving Ban Khoang and process along the road for about 10km to Ta Giang Phinh valley inhabited by the Black Hmong who live in some small villages scattering along a peaceful stream. Enjoy an hour lunch break on the bank of a stream before walking along village path which connects village to village to witness daily activities of local life such as plough and harrow the fields, growing, harvesting or doing some house work. In leisure months men often gather to built new houses or repair parts of old ones while women stay home making their traditional costumes. The walk ends in mid afternoon, picked up for the road ride back to Sapa.
DAY 10: FANSIPAN PEAK – HANOI BY SHUTTLE BUS (B)
Start your day by a soft breakfast in the hotel, then guide and drive will take you to Cable Car Station and it takes 20 minutes with the cable car to delve into the marvelous beauty of sceneries along the way to get the peak of the mount. You have time within 1.5 hours to see the views here, take photos and visit the spiritual destinations and then trek up to 600 steps to reach the peak of Fansipan – the roof of Indochina. Then come back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town. Afternoon, you will take shuttle bus back to Hanoi. Upon arrival Hanoi, you will check in hotel. Free at leisure and overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 11: HANOI – HALONG BAY BY SHUTTLE BUS (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel. This morning you will transfer to Halong bay by shuttle bus. On arrival in Halong Bay, This UNESCO World Heritage site boasts a wild beauty of clustered limestone islets and crescent beaches. Then board your deluxe junk, settle into your cabin and prepare your appetite for an enjoyable lunch on deck. Settle on board your main boat to begin a 2 day/1 night cruise through the spectacular Ha Long Bay & Lan Ha Bay. Afterwards, take an exhilarating kayak trip through the lagoon, have a refreshing swim or simply relax on board and enjoy the sunset. Overnight on Cruise.
DAY 12: HALONG – HANOI BY SHUTTLE BUS – FLY TO HOCHIMINH (B/BR)
Wake up early and take a position on the upper deck to witness the sun rise over the bay, a cup of hot tea in hand. Early morning is truly a magical time on the bay as the limestone karsts appear all around you in different shapes, sizes and colours. Continue sailing through magnificent Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a brunch on board before arriving at Ha Long City Pier at noon where the shuttle bus will be waiting for and drive back to Hanoi Centre. Then a private car will take you to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hochiminh. Upon arrival at Hochiminh, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of a day free at your own leisure. Overnight in Hochiminh
DAY 13: CU CHI TUNNEL HALF DAY (B)
Today you will enjoy a half-day private excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels consist of more than 200 km of underground tunnels, connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels including innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life was like during the U.S. - Vietnam War. You will be able to discover the tunnel systems and learn about this part of Vietnam's past. Transfer back to hotel. Free at leisure and overnight in Hochiminh.
DAY 14: HOCHIMINH – MUI NE (B)
After breakfast, our driver will take you to Mui Ne. Free at leisure and overnight in Mui Ne.
DAY 15-16: PHU QUOC FREE AT LEISURE (B)
Free at leisure to explore Phu Quoc, You will be free at your own leisure with breakfast.
DAY 17: MUI NE – HOCHIMINH DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast, spend free time at your leisure. Later, you will be transferred back to Hochiminh airport for your return flight to the UK.
